The Gay Village takes place from mid June to mid September each year with events being held every Thursday to Saturday.

Roman Summers can be hot, very hot, so from mid June to Mid September, the gay parties close up shop in the city and head outdoors to the Gay Village, a large space, surrounded by a green park Mussolini’s neighborhood named EUR, with restaurants,shops, dancefloors (commercial and house music) and special events dedicated to culture, dance and music.
Started in 2002, Gay Village has by now become an established and popular part of the Estate Romana (Roman Summer), a city-sponsored initiative with a myriad of concerts and events in outdoor spaces throughout the city.
Gay Village hosts concerts, dance clubs, movies, contests, and shows. Last year there was even dinner theater with drag queens, a, lesbian theatre, a cinema festival, sports activities and literature events so you will never get bored.
Gay Village settles in for the summer in the Eur area in Rome, attracting more than 200,000 people every year. Most of the biggest events take place from Thursday through to Saturday night.
